<3 LA RECORD <3 OC WEEKLY <3 LA TIMES BLOG SITE UPDATES There is a fresh, new hi-tech MAP. It will teach you to get everywhere. Are you a local band? Do you want to play? Look at this, please. WHO ARE WE? We are a group of students that are working to bring rad musicians and artists to the UC Irvine campus, filling the void and closing the gaps. As long as there is an audience, we will continue to do whatever we can to bring worthwhile music to our school. For all those who have waved a fist in the air in the name of art and experience at UCI and in Orange County, come out. Bring your friends. Break down walls and open yourself up to new sounds. FAST FACTS: All shows are all ages and open to all. Unless otherwise noted, all shows are on the campus of UC IRVINE. All money generated at the door is distributed among the performing artists. In the case of a relatively large door take, we will retain a relative percentage to recoup for (much larger) operating costs. If you attend a show, in any capacity, pay the door cost. We are not a big corportation and if you don't pay $5 we have to make up for it. That is an endlessly jerky and potentially debilitating thing. The order the bands are listed on here is usually the play order backwards (that is, the band on top will be playing last, etc). We generally have stringent time curfews, so our shows are generally over by 11pm or 12am, unless otherwise specified. UC IRVINE is a tough place to navigate sometimes, especially if you are unfamiliar. Please take a look at the MAPS page to get a decent idea of how to get to a particular place on campus. If you want to play, shoot an email over to acrobaticseveryday at gmail dot com. This is super-preferable to MySpace. Putting on shows is not always easy, but we will try to make something work.
